Zoneblitz Survivor Pool 2015: Week 14

Rich’s roll continues. In back-to-back weeks, he’s taken two of the league’s historically losingest teams and kept an almost-perfect season going.

He’s who you want to pay attention to if you are still alive in your survivor pool.

Tony had a decent run going, but he’s missed the last two. The rest of us … meh.

Sometimes, you just have to go with your gut. Matt Hasselbeck had been riding a career renaissance before last week, but we’re going to call that a bump in the road. The Jaguars put up a lot of points last week, but their defense is such a sieve that they allowed the Titans to score 42. The Colts are the better team and they’ll win this week.

Tony – Co-founder, web guru

Kansas City Chiefs – Sure enough, my Washington pick sealed their fate against the Cowboys.  This week, maybe I can break the Chiefs winning streak…although, playing at home against a Chargers team that is already looking ahead to…Los Angeles?

Maggio – Fantasy editor

Coming off the heartbreaker last Thursday that for all intents and purposes ended Detroit’s season, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about a letdown. But St. Louis’ offense is one-dimensional, and it happens to be the dimension the Lions have had great success against the last month. Nick Foles, Case Keenum, doesn’t matter–I don’t think Todd Gurley is enough to get the Rams by the Lions.

Let’s be real–you really shouldn’t pay any attention to my picks. I’ve now missed five out of 13 weeks, even losing last week when I bet on the then 10-1 Patriots. I’ll try to bounce back this week with Tampa, a home favorite against the Aints. Bring back the brown bags, that defense is atrocious!

Up until the second half of the Green Bay game a week ago, Detroit was playing really well. The Lions, with the help of some questionable officiating, let the Packers snatch that win from them. I’m guessing they will rebound, however, against a Rams team that has been beatable on defense and mostly putrid on offense. Plus there aren’t any other teams I have any faith in left … not that I have a lot of faith in Detroit. But passing isn’t an option, so I have to pick someone.
