Alternative picks: Week 6, 2019

Andy keeps winning, but not by enough to put any real distance between himself and Tony. He claims the week despite a Monday night loss.

Here are the picks for week six:

1) Tony: Patriots over Giants – Tired of going 1-1 with the second pick…time to go 0-1 with the top pick.

2) Andy: Cowboys over Jets – If the game is actually close … it won’t be, but if it is … the Cowboys will just go after Darnold’s spleen.

3) Andy: Ravens over Bengals – I’ve long badmouthed Andy Dalton as the poster child for NFL QB mediocrity. This week we picked him up for a superflex fantasy team. I suspect he’ll probably prove me right this week.

4) Tony: Chargers over Steelers – The Steelers may be starting Devlin Hodges. If not Hodges, they’ll be starting a guy that got knocked out on his feet last week. Either way, not looking good for the Steelers.

5) Andy: Packers over Lions – It’s about time for Detroit to start Detroiting, isn’t it?

6) Tony: Chiefs over Texans – The Chiefs didn’t look great on Sunday night, but they’re still tough to pick against, until melting down becomes a regular thing.

7) Andy: Seahawks over Browns – Hugely disappointed in the Browns. Pretty surprised by the Seahawks. Seattle steals a road win.

8) Tony: Panthers over Buccaneers – Panthers just keep winning since Cam went out. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

9) Andy: Falcons over Cardinals – They ought to just let the defenses stay home from this game since that’s what the stat lines are going to look like anyway.

10) Tony: Titans over Broncos – Playing at home isn’t going to help the Broncos.

11) Andy: Saints over Jaguars – Why are the Jaguars favored in this game?

12) Tony: Rams over 49ers – The 49ers have a chance to prove they’re for real. Can they do it with all their injuries?

13) Andy: Eagles over Vikings – Minnesota is horrible every other week. This is that week. Go win a big game against a good team, Cousins. I dare you.

14) Tony: Washington over Dolphins – Remember when these two teams met in the Super Bowl?  This game will have that same feel. Just the opposite.

Our picks got off to a good start, but the last couple weeks… meh.
