Another week, another loss for Tony, who once again forgot to take someone who was ruled out of his lineup out, and at this point is just hoping to not end the season with a balance on Fanball, because he’d like to never use them again. Not because of his performance this year, which has been dismal, but because of weeks like this where they refused to offer a slate of lineups that used all 16 games–while featuring slates like Thursday night (now Tuesday) only lineups, and Monday Night/Tuesday night lineups.
Week 11 | Season | Total points | Weekly average | |
Andy | 124.86 | 8-3 | 1,536.5 | 139.68 |
Tony | 92.48 | 3-8 | 1,358.34 | 123.49 |
So we skipped the Thanksgiving games–which ended up with a couple of solid games from guys who have been in our lineups a few times, like Antonio Gibson, and here we are.
Andy: The biggest challenge this week was narrowing down the options. There will be many shootouts. Hopefully I picked the right ones…
QB – Derek Carr @ ATL – $6,100 – There were a lot of QB options this week, but I can’t see anyone being miles ahead of Carr in a game that should be a shootout.
RB – Dalvin Cook vs CAR – $9,600 – Not a hotter running back in the league over the last few weeks. He plays to the strengths of what the Vikings do and he also plays to the weaknesses of the Carolina defense.
RB – Kareem Hunt @ JAX – $6,200 – Showed last week that even when Chubb is playing, he can produce RB1-worthy stats. They’ll both be legit plays today against the Jaguars.
WR –Calvin Ridley vs LVR – $7,400 – Ridley will be the de facto No. 1 WR for Atlanta this week, even if Julio Jones plays. Jones is nursing the hamstring and Ridley will eat.
WR – Cole Beasley vs LAC – $5,800 – Had 13 targets, 11 catches, 109 yards and a score last week. Am I chasing last week’s numbers? Perhaps. But this guy just keeps putting up points.
WR – Russell Gage vs LVR – $5,000 – Has 18 targets the last two weeks, including a dozen last week. Julio is nursing a hamstring. The Raiders defense isn’t horrible, but it’s not shutdown either. Someone will come up big in this likely shootout.
TE – Darren Waller @ ATL – $6,400 – Derek Carr loves this guy. Lowest target total since week three is five. Opportunity is there for a monster game this week against Atlanta.
Flex – Christian Kirk @ NE – $6,200 – Continues to get a solid target share over the last month, even if his actual production has suffered a bit. I smell a breakout coming.
DST – NY Giants vs CIN – $2,300 – Giants have been playing better. I expect the Bengals to fold under the weight of the leader of their turnaround going down to a devastating knee injury.
Tony
QB – Justin Herbert @ Buf – $7,500 – He’s undefeated since he cut his hair.
RB – Nick Chubb @ Jac – $7,500 – Stud running back stack today. Browns are feeding Chubb, and he’s rewarding them nicely.
RB – Dalvin Cook vs Car – $9,600 – I believe he’s the highest priced player in the game this week, and for good reason.
WR – Tyreek Hill @ TB – $8,100 – Add a stud WR play? Why not.
WR – Darius Slayton @ Cin – $5,300 – Had to find some cheap options somewhere.
WR/TE – Michael Pittman vs Ten – $5,400 – He’s looked like the player I expected all season since coming back from injury.
TE – Robert Tonyan vs Chi – $4,400 – Hurst lived up to my prediction of a high priced TE that wouldn’t perform for me last week. I think Tonyan finds the end zone today against Da Bears.
FLEX – Nyheim Hines @ Ind – $4,900 – He didn’t work out for me last week as flex, but he fits the price tag here this week.
DST – Dolphins @ NYJ – $2,300 – They also didn’t work out for me that well last week, but they get the Jets this week.
