So … maybe you want to go somewhere else for your survivor pool assistance. We’re heading into week six and two of four participants in our DOUBLE ELIMINATION pool are out with one more participant having gotten his first strike last week.
That said, if you’re still looking for advice, our Anthony Maggio and John Vomhof Jr. are still alive to help you out. Here are their picks for week six.
Maggio: Record: 5-0
Teams used: NY Jets, Green Bay, Atlanta, San Diego, New Orleans
Denver over NY Jets: I don’t like to make a habit of picking road teams, but this just seems too good to pass up. The Jets can’t stop the pass, the Broncos can’t stop passing. I’m firing off a big bullet here using Denver already, but as we’ve seen with the two Tellijohns ousted already and Vomhof having used up his only strike in this game, you can never be too careful.
John: Record 4-1
Teams used: NY Jets, Denver, New England, San Diego, Detroit
Cincinnati over Carolina: It’s hard to feel too good about the Bengals after they got pounded 43-17 by the Patriots on Sunday night, but I expect them to bounce back strong at home against the Panthers this week. The Bengals defense, which held opponents to 16 points or less in three of the first four games, should be able to slow Cam Newton & Co.
Andy: Record: 2-2 (Eliminated)
Teams used: Philadelphia, San Francisco, New England, Pittsburgh
Tony: Record: 0-2 (Eliminated)
Teams used: Chicago, New Orleans

Hi Anthony. We ALL miss your show on Sunday mornings. I’m in a TD only league and you have 3 WR’s on my roster. NONE of my WR’s have scored yer. (I am almost certain that this is an all time record). I have TY Hilton, E. Sanders and A. Hawkins. This is a 16 team league so the pickens’ are thin. I would hate to make a panic move, but R. Cooper and J. Brown are about the best available. It’s amazing to me to have like 26 TD’s between Manning and Luck, and not one to EITHER ONE of my WR’s, talk about bad luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks Ed! I appreciate the kind words. My apologies that I didn’t see this question sooner. Hopefully you had Hilton in your starting lineup last night. As for your other guys, I would actually drop Hawkins for Cooper, as I think Cooper is likely to finish the season with more touchdowns. I like Brown better, too, but think Cooper will ultimately have more scoring opportunities.
Best of luck!
