Mixed bag in week 11. That’s okay – if you didn’t have the good sense to stop paying attention to our picks in this segment seven, eight weeks ago, that’s your fault, not ours.

Here’s week 12:

Tony: NY Giants

Vomhof: NY Giants

Andy: NY Giants

Maggio: New Orleans

Rich: Buffalo

And here is why:

Tony: (Previous picks: Seattle, Carolina, Dallas, Cincinnati, New England, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Minnesota, Kansas City, Baltimore, Miami) Partly because the Giants are playing better, and partly because they play the Browns.

Vomhof: (Previous picks: Seattle, Carolina, Miami, Arizona, New England, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh) My always-bet-against-Cleveland strategy keeps rolling on. The Browns have no way to stop Eli and Odell, and the Giants D is plenty legit to shut down the lowly Browns.

Andy: (Previous picks: Seattle, Carolina, Miami, Carolina, New England, Pittsburgh, Denver, Kansas City, Dallas, Baltimore, Arizona) I keep hearing the Browns are fighting hard. And that may be true. But as much as this feels like piling on, go beat someone. Until you do, people are going to stay alive in survivor pools picking against you.

Maggio: (Previous picks: Arizona, Detroit, Carolina, Washington, Oakland, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Kansas City, Baltimore, New England) The Saints’ season is on life support, but even they can’t screw up a home matchup with the Rams…can they??? I don’t think so, not with Jared Goff making his second career start and his first on the road. Los Angeles has a strong defense, but not strong enough to hold the Saints at home to a low enough number that the Rams would have a chance to reach.

Rich: (Previous picks: Los Angeles, Seattle, Arizona, Dallas, New England, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Minnesota, Green Bay, Baltimore, Tennessee) This deep into the season, making a survivor pool pick can be tough. However, the Jacksonville Jaguars are a poor club playing on the road against an above average (barely, but still above) Buffalo Bills team. True, the Bills have been beset by injuries. Robert Woods is out, and LeSean McCoy may or may not play. However, Mike Gillislee is a more than serviceable backup RB, and there are whispers that WR Sammy Watkins may finally be able to play. The defense, while not one to make us forget about some of the Rex Ryan coached units of the past, is good enough to stop the Jaguars, who look like a team ready to call it a day for 2016. The Jags are a team with some young talent, particularly on the defense, but the coaching is just plain bad. Blake Bortles is lost, the offensive line isn’t blocking and Allen Robinson has all but disappeared. Chris Ivory could be a halfway decent running back if he could just hold onto the ball. Even then, it wouldn’t be enough to give Jacksonville a win in Buffalo.
