His thoughts:

I love how my team unfolded in the first round, as I was able to grab Jimmy Graham, who I feel very strongly about as a must-draft player in the first two rounds. The way he’s going to dominate the tight end position means he gives an advantage that no other player can provide.

Adding Forte means that I have a PPR stud at running back, who might be a bit light on touchdowns, but he will more than make up for it in the passing game. PPR or not, Forte is going to get tons of yards from scrimmage this season. Roddy White is a PPR monster who is as consistent as it gets. He’s another guy I am very high on, and will take as often as possible.

I am not sold on Frank Gore, but it was too early to take Gio Bernard or Shane Vereen, who are guys I usually target in the fifth round. Neither fell to me in the fifth, so I wound up with Antonio Brown and TY Hilton at the 5/6 turn. I like Brown for the likely volume of targets he’ll get, and I love Hilton for his role in what should be a pass-happy offense.

I am thrilled about getting RGIII in the bottom of the 7th, and Andre Brown is Frank Gore insurance in the 8th.

Overall, I am happy with my team, but I don’t love drafting 12th. I thought I would like it after the first two picks, but with the way the draft panned out I missed out on some of my big targets.

The one Buccaneers’ development in the draft I feel the need to mention is the selection of Mike Williams at the end of the seventh round. I think Mike could be huge value there, as he’s going to get 1,000 or more yards on 70 catches, and if that comes with 10+ touchdowns instead of 7 or 8, he’s an absolutely steal that late in the draft. He’s a big target for Josh Freeman, and he’ll be involved in the offense.
