Not gonna lie–my Russell Wilson ranking is way more gut than science. The numbers in this one don’t portend to a good day, but his two best fantasy days so far have come in the two games where he should’ve been least likely to have them. Also, Geno Smith is creeping his way into the starting conversation in deep leagues.

I’m feeling much better about the running backs this week than I did last week. One player to note, though, is Bilal Powell. He still got a majority of the work Monday night, but it was Mike Goodson’s first game back from suspension and Chris Ivory’s first back from injury. Ivory’s the best runner, but Goodson, I think, is the best all-purpose back and he’s got a shot to start eating more into Powell’s work as soon as this week.

Jacksonville’s going to be throwing all day to try to keep the score in the zip code of respectable, so I think Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts can have a second straight week of solid fantasy days at the same time. Steve Smith isn’t all that highly ranked, but I’ve got a hunch he’s sitting on a big game. He’s been awful enough, though, that I can’t rank him as anything but a flex play.

Tight Ends

  1. Jimmy Graham at New England

  25. Rob Gronkowski vs. New Orleans

A couple of bye weeks and an injury have suddenly made this deep tight end class a little tougher to navigate. Congrats if you landed on Jordan Cameron or Julius Thomas as your Rob Gronkowski replacement, because now you’re sitting in the trade market driver’s seat.

Nick Folk wins a game on Monday and finds  himself No. 3 in my rankings on Tuesday night. I’m a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately kinda guy.

  24. Raiders at Kansas City
  25. Patriots vs. New Orleans

The 49ers really stepped up last week, taking advantage of Matt Schaub’s bruised psyche to help improve their own. With a home game against Carson Palmer, the turnovers should keep on coming.
