Anthony,
Another QB quandry presents itself with your ranking of Pryor, Kaepernick and Locker in that order. I had assumed this was Locker’s week with his Jag match-up at home and K up against the Carolina defense. In fact, I dropped Pryor using the West Coast traveling East bias and his future match-ups in comparing him with Case Keenum (who I picked up) noting his Jag match-ups in weeks 12 and 14. Maybe I was a bit early, but in a 12 team league with few options I decided to make the move now rather than wait. Why is Locker so low on you QB ranking? Thanks.
I was all set to rank Locker in my top 10 this week until he laid that egg against St. Louis last week, which scared me off him a bit. I actually think there’s an argument to rank Locker as high as No. 8 this week. And every week there’s sort of an imaginary line I can draw where it’s quarterbacks I’m comfortable starting if I had to above it, and the rest below. That line is right after Locker for me this week. I have Pryor and Kaepernick specifically ahead of him due to the higher floor created by their rushing yards. They basically are incapable of laying an egg as bad as Locker had last week. That said, I think Locker’s ceiling is probably higher than Pryor’s, and close to that of Kaepernick’s. So if you already have him, I think you’re fine playing him.
Anthony,
Looking to week 11, I have Terrence Williams on bye as my WR2 . I have Burleson on my bench but am considering dropping him for Michael Floyd namely for his match-up with the Jaquars on week 11. Burleson has Pit on wk 11 and his injury risk. Appreciate your take on this move.
No guarantees Burleson plays next week, though I think he will. Only thing I DON’T like about that move is putting my trust in Carson Palmer. That said, I think Burleson and Floyd would be close in my rankings regardless, and Floyd offers less risk, so I think it’s a good play.
