Well … that was ugly.weekly-picks

Only one of our pickers hit eight games in week nine. Rich, who won our survivor pool, stayed hot in an unpredictable week.

The rest of us ranged from four (Andy) to seven correct. Just one of those weeks, I guess.

Here are the standings:

Game of the Week: Arizona at Seattle – While I suppose you could make an argument about Buffalo/Jets or the Patriots/Giants games, the Cardinals/Seahawks tilt will be a heavyweight fight Sunday night. The Cardinals have a chance to take control of the NFC West. The Seahawks are in a must-win situation if they want to make the playoffs and make it to a third consecutive Super Bowl. This is almost as good as the Seahawks/49ers games of the past couple seasons.

Game of the Weak: Dallas at Tampa Bay – It’s not probably fair to the Cowboys, but injuries have decimated the team this season. At 2-6, there is still a slight chance Dallas could come back, but they have to win this week. In all likelihood, they’re toast already. The Bucs are a terrible team. They may be improving a bit, but they’re going nowhere this year. They’re definitely toast. Fantasy football points may abound, but there is little more reason for watching.
