Well, there weren’t a lot of upsets in week six, but the Dallas/Seattle game sure jumps out. Are we going to have to start taking the Cowboys seriously? Jerry Jones should be thanking his son Stephen for preventing him from taking Johnny Manziel. Zack Martin and that o-line have taken DeMarco Murray and Tony Romo up a notch.
On another note, Dr. Phil has been consistently on time and consistently good this season – so we’re adding him to the standings square. We’ve been doing alright, but he’s the standard bearer so far. We may have to invite him along on our next trip to Vegas.
Here are the standings after week six:
Name | Week 6 | Overall |
Dr. Phil | 11-3-1 | 62-28-1 |
Tony | 10-4-1 | 59-31-1 |
John | 11-3-1 | 58-32-1 |
Maggio | 9-5-1 | 56-34-1 |
Andy | 10-4-1 | 55-35-1 |
I really am not that excited about this week’s games. It’s like we’ve gotten to the point in the season where the league said “there are a bunch of games that have to get played, whether we like it or not, so let’s schedule them all for this week.” That said, we’re all going to watch. So we’re going to pick them too. Here are our guesses.
Andy | Tony | John | Maggio | |

Bye weeks: Philadelphia, Tampa Bay |
Game of the Week: San Francisco at Denver –One of the few exceptions to my indifference about this week’s slate is the game between surging San Francisco, fresh off a dramatic Monday night comeback, and Denver, which has played for the most part this season as though it is bent on getting another chance in the Super Bowl. If it weren’t for this game, I’d have gone with Indianapolis and Cincinnati, but the Broncos/49ers Sunday night tilt should be a good one.
Game of the Weak: Tennessee at Washington – This is the perfect example of what I mention above. Tennessee broke a losing streak last week against Jacksonville, which hasn’t won yet. Washington has one win. If the teams agreed ahead of time to call the game a tie and told fans to find something else to do with their time on Sunday, I don’t think anyone would really care all that much.

Well, know you’ve done it. Adding me to the list is a sure fire way of making me end at the bottom of the pile come the end of the season ;) Thanks for the honour.
So I guess this week I’m going with New England, Buffalo, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Washington, Baltimore, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Seattle, Dallas, San Diego, Arizona, Pittsburgh
