Different week, same story. Tony and Dr. Phil again dominated the ZB staff pool, nailing 10 of 13 games. All of us held our own, with the lowest score still hitting eight. But Dr. Phil has pulled out to a four game lead – if this keeps up we may have to dust off some Zoneblitz swag and send it his way.
Here are the standings:
Name | Week 9 | Overall |
Dr. Phil | 10-3 | 95-38-1 |
Tony | 10-3 | 91-42-1 |
John | 8-5 | 85-48-1 |
Maggio | 9-4 | 82-51-1 |
Andy | 8-5 | 81-52-1 |
Week 10 presents the last of the six-team bye weeks. They’re wreaking havoc on fantasy football players, but the pick segment just keeps plugging along. Here are our picks for the week:

Bye Weeks: Houston, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New England, San Diego, Washington |
Game of the Week: Miami at Detroit – I originally planned to go with San Francisco at New Orleans in this spot. But both of those teams are performing below expectations at 4-4. Detroit has been less than dominant in building a 6-2 record, but has been playing short-handed without Calvin Johnson and Joique Bell. Meanwhile, Miami has been one of the under-the-radar teams of the season’s first half. This should be an interesting game.
Game of the Weak: Atlanta at Tampa Bay – This should be a shootout, so fans of nothing but offense may enjoy themselves. But as far as its impact on the standings, very few are going to care about this game.

Ok, my picks this week are Cincinnati, Kansas City, Detroit, Dallas, New Orleans, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Denver, Arizona, Seattle, Green Bay, Philadelphia (even with an injured Eagles starter it’s hard to trust Carolina to win this)
