After two weeks of the regular season Philadelphia has turned the ball over nine times – and won two one-point games. When congratulated on the start, Chris Meares of The Mole & Meares Show described the feat as … well, Un$%&@believable.
We’ll see if Meares can match his favorite team by beating us at our picks for week three.
Last week, bloggers from The Landry Hat and HogsHaven both took their best shot. The Landry Hat struggled during a tough week to a 7-9 finish. HogsHaven matched Andy with a 9-7 mark. Tony grabbed top honors for week two with a 10-6 mark. So here is where we stand for the season so far.
Week two | Total | |
Celebrity bloggers | 9-7 | 20-12 |
Tony | 10-6 | 18-14 |

Game of the Week: We’ve got our eyes on a couple of this weekend’s game and, lucky enough for us, they’re prime-time games. The AFC Championship game rematch featuring New England @ Baltimore loses only a little of its luster with the Patriots not coming in full strength due to the Aaron Hernandez injury. Joe Flacco considers himself an elite quarterback. He hasn’t proven himself at that level in our eyes, but he’s got an opportunity to take a step toward that level with a rebound win against the Patriots.
Honorable mention for the week would be the Monday night game featuring Green Bay @ Seattle. We are curious to see the prime-time debut of so-far-steady rookie Russell Wilson, though in the end, we all figure he’ll end up taking a lesson from superstar vet Aaron Rodgers.
Game of the Weak: In the first two weeks, Minnesota beat Jacksonville in overtime and then followed that up with a last-second loss to Indianapolis. The round-robin of crapitude will be completed this weekend when Jacksonville visits Indianapolis. Many of the players have parents who might watch and I suppose a few sick souls might tune in to see if Indy rookie quarterback Andrew Luck continues his development. Otherwise we can’t see why there would be much of a viewing audience for this one.
