Defense. I’m still alive and stuck with the Titans v Jac, Colts v Dal, Bucs v GB, with the Steelers available v KC. Not pretty and I may need to get my points elsewhere, but it looks like the Titans against Chad Henne. What do you think?
Also, a WR2 question. I have Moncrief (who 0’ed out last week), J. Landry, D. Baldwin and could pick up Allen Hurns but don’t consider him above the others. Noting your ranking, it looks like Landry. Any comment? Thanks for your recommendations the past 3 weeks.
Yeah, I think you’re probably giving the Titans a shot there, but don’t expect a whole lot.
At WR I’d definitely look at Landry. I may even need to bump him up a bit in my current ranks. He showed a lot putting up most of his numbers against Revis last week. I benched him in the leagues I had him in and it nearly cost me.
Good luck this week!
Can I ask one more…since it Titletime? I’m looking at a Flex decision between Tre Mason v NYG whose D has been tougher on RBs lately (and Mason got me 1.3 pts. last week), and Toby Gerhart v Ten and without Denard Robinson should be the lead back. You’re probably wondering how I got into the Finals…14 team league and Luck, Foster and Antonio Brown..that’s how. Thanks again.
You get as many questions as you’d like! Definitely tempting to go Gerhart, but I’m hesitant because he’s not the only guy getting carries there, and ultimately he’s far less talented than Mason. And while Tennessee’s defense is far friendlier to fantasy runners, I wouldn’t worry about the Giants run defense. They look a little tougher than they’ve been lately because they haven’t allowed a rushing score in four weeks. That’s a bit flukey. I think based on the matchup there’s a case to be made for Gerhart having a higher than usual floor and ceiling, but Mason, prior to last week’s game in which they could do nothing against AZ, went six straight weeks prior to that with a minimum of 17 touches. Add in the Giants giving up a league-high 4.9 yards per rushing attempt, and you’ve got an even higher floor than Gerhart’s with a higher ceiling too.
I have Delanie Walker and Larry Donnell at tight end in a TD heavy league. Performance scoring, so no yardage points until they hit 100. Do you like either one of them better in that scoring system? Or perhaps Heath Miller, Owen Daniels, Jason Witten, Mychal Rivera, Zach Ertz, Josh Hill or perhaps some other unknown off the wire? Thanks.
I’d say Walker has the best chance of that group of hitting 100 yards, slightly ahead of Witten. But if you’re playing for TDs, you’re definitely throwing darts, especially with that many options. Considering the run the Saints are on, I could make a good case for Hill being the best bet at a TD this week.
Odds of Walker getting 100 yards better than 50/50? I was wondering about Hill. Something looks off about Graham’s game right now.
I don’t know that I’d say better than 50/50. He’s got a decent matchup, but a not decent QB. As for New Orleans, I think they are using Hill both as a tendency breaker AND to help hide Graham a bit. I think his shoulder is still bugging him.
