A meaningless garbage time cover by the hapless New York Jets swung week 11 in Tony’s favor. He took the Jets +9.5 and, hence, he added to his bankroll. Andy had the Chargers at -9. He still virtually broke even, but the result doesn’t leave him with a lot of breathing room.

Here are the standings:

Week 11 W/L Week 11 $$ Season W/L Season $$ Bankroll
Andy 2-2 -$43 16-27-1 -$7,538 $2,462
Tony 3-1 +$1,435 16-25-3 -$4,270 $5,730

Andy: (SMMFH) (Slams a shot) The flippin’ Jets. Of course, it’s the flippin’ Jets.

$800 – Las Vegas (-3, -108) at Atlanta – The Raiders matched the Chiefs blow for blow last week. The Falcons looked off against the Saints. The comeback that kicked in after Raheem Morris took over as interim coach seems to have cooled. As long as Las Vegas doesn’t blow this game off, they should win comfortably.

$650 – NY Giants (-5.5, -110) at Cincinnati – The Bengals were losing games competitively even when they had rookie standout Joe Burrow at QB. There’s got to be a letdown for the team with their chosen one facing a lengthy knee rehab. I can’t see the rest of this season going well with Ryan Finley at the helm.

$700 – Kansas City (-3.5, +100) at Tampa Bay – Not sure what more there is to say about this one – the Chiefs are rolling. Tom Brady is struggling a bit. It’ll be high scoring, but the Chiefs are taking this one comfortably.

$300 – Denver (+230 money line) vs New Orleans – Miami had won five in a row when Tua Tagovailoa took on Denver last weekend. By game’s end, Tua was on the bench and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had another feather in his cap. There’s a solid chance that Taysom Hill ends up exposed in this game and that the Broncos steal another one.

Tony:

$1,000 – Cleveland (-7.5, +100) at Jacksonville – This game has moved 6.5 points in favor of the Browns…and I’m not sure that’s enough. Apparently the bettors don’t like the move from Luton to Glennon at Jags QB any more than I do.

$750 – New Orleans (-15.5, -110) at Denver – I actually backed off my bet a little bit here…the Saints are outdoors, on the road, and in reality, neither team is starting a QB today–although at least New Orleans still thinks Hill is a QB, and he practices there.

$1,000 – Kansas City at Tampa Bay: Over 56 (-107) – This game should be a shootout…Tampa has the better defense, but KC can score on anyone–and their defense can allow points to anyone.

$500 – Chicago (+315 moneyline) at Green Bay – Weirder things have happened than Chicago going into Green Bay in late November and winning…like Minnesota going to Lambeau earlier this month and beating them. Probably should be looking more at the spread for this one (GB is 2-3 ATS in their last 5), but I’ll grab the moneyline and hope for the best.
