A third solid week in a row for Tony, and second victory in three weeks–probably too little, too late, but at least he’ll likely have a balance heading into the offseason.

Week 12 Season Total points Weekly average

Tony 146.14 5-9 1,674.62 119.6

Andy: I really like this lineup, which is probably bad. Every time I think I really like a lineup, it sucks.

QB – Lamar Jackson vs JAX – $7,700 – Jackson has regressed this season, but he seemed to re-find the magic against Cleveland last week. I suspect the rebound continues against Jacksonville.

RB – Derrick Henry vs DET – $9,800 – I’ve often stayed away from the guys in the high $9,000-range. The problem with that strategy is if your opponent has them and they go off, you’re screwed. Henry should crush the Lions hope early and repeatedly.

RB – Gus Edwards vs JAX – $4,800 – This pick serves the dual-purpose of finding an inexpensive add to the lineup while also adding a player whose production is increasing beyond his price tag. His season average is seven, but he’s exceeded eight points in seven of the last eight games, including 18.3 and 12.1 point outputs in his last two.

WR – A.J. Brown vs DET – $7,900 – Henry will do the most damage for Tennessee against Detroit, but Ryan Tannehill and Brown have quite a connection going too. I suspect they’ll hook up for a couple big plays and at least one score.

WR – Keenan Allen @ LVR – $7,800 – Allen is having a ridiculous season and he’s had 10 or more targets in seven of eight and nine of 11 games. The Raiders’ defense has been on the decline of late too. He could be huge Thursday.

WR – Donovan Peoples-Jones @ NYG – $4,000 – This rookie is starting to carve out a larger role. He’s coming off 12.4 and 17.2 point performances. The Giants aren’t all that great. He’s got a solid shot at matching those numbers again.

TE – Irv Smith vs CHI – $4,100 – Smith’s season has been a disappointing one, but Kyle Rudolph is hurt and he’s got a chance to get himself back into a big role in the offense. Tight end is one position the Bears have not done a great job of covering. And he’s cheap.

Flex – Brandon Aiyuk @ DAL – $6,800 – Aiyuk has been solid all season, but he’s exploded in his last couple games, garnering 25 targets and 15 catches. Deebo Samuel is out this week and George Kittle has not returned. No reason this surge can’t continue.

DST – CLE defense @ NYG – $2,100 – Even against Baltimore, where the Browns gave up 45 points, there were hints at times of what this defense can be. The Giants have a lot fewer weapons to work with than the Ravens do. I think Cleveland gets back on track.

Tony: Keep going with what seems to have started working the last couple of weeks…

QB – Justin Herbert @ LV – $7,000 – A few intriguing options this week, I actually went with the cheapest of them…

RB – Derrick Henry vs Det – $9,800 – …because I wanted to find a way to fit Henry into the lineup against Detroit.

RB – Nick Chubb vs @ NYG – $7,600 – Throw a little Chubb-y into the mix too, why not.

WR – D.K. Metcalf @ Was – $8,000 – I didn’t realize I had a stack in here until I was typing it up…fortunately I had $100 leftover, so I switched A.J. Brown for D.K.  Metcalf.

WR – Calvin Ridley vs TB – $7,900 – It was here that I realized just how close to bottom of the barrel I was going to be for the next few spots…

WR/TE – Greg Ward @ Ari – $3,700 – Ward didn’t have the most targets last week for the Eagles, but he had the most for any of the WR–no reason not to expect that to continue this week, especially for this price.

TE – Evan Engram vs Cle – $4,600 – Engram is a guy I avoid like the plague in real fantasy, but in DFS he can be productive from time to time.

FLEX – Darrell Mooney @ Min – $4,300 – Kind of surprised I spent more on him than Ward…figure the Vikings defense can easily give up some yardage to the Bears WR2/3–just a matter of picking right between Mooney & Anthony Miller.

DST – Browns @ NYG – $2,100 – Former Browns coach Freddie Kitchens has a chance for some revenge, in calling plays for the Giants with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett out due to Covid. He may have former Brown Colt McCoy in line for some revenge too. I don’t think it will work out well for either.
