So … let’s just say these two aren’t the ones you want to go to Vegas with. Or, at minimum, they aren’t the ones you want to be taking betting advice from.
Tony went 2-2, but lost his largest bet, ensuring a losing week. Andy … well … he started the season horrifically and he is ending it in even worse fashion. He went 0-4 for the second time in three weeks, ensuring that he’ll have an opportunity to end the season down not just his original bankroll, but a second bankroll as well.
He may need to sell himself on Tropicana Ave. just to make back enough to cover airfare home. And that might take a while.

And, mercifully, here are the season’s final bets. (more…)
Andy has taken out another mortgage on his house, sold a rental property and borrowed some money from … some guy with a cigar and a weird accent he met on the street down by the bar… so he’s good to go for a few more bets.
Tony: I hit my first two bets last week, including the big one on the Ravens, so I’m still at least playing with (some of) my own money. Just two weeks left — still time to double my original investment… (more…)
0-8 between the two of us in week 14. Good thing this is all mythical money. Vegas could build another mega-casino off us.

We’re contractually obligated to finish out this segment through season’s end, so … we’ll take out a hypothetical second mortgage and keep going.
Tony: 0-4? That’s more like it—at least we’re making progress in a direction, rather than kissing the proverbial sister every week. Sure, last week pretty much wiped me out—I may even be talking to Mythical Vinnie to cover this week’s bets. But it’s better than hovering around even…
I wouldn’t say he saved his season – he’s still got just one-fifth of his bankroll remaining – but Andy’s 3-1 week 13 gave him at least some breathing room.
Tony only hit two of his bets, but it provided his already beefy bank account with even more cushion. Can these two gambling clowns keep it up in week 14? It’s a tough week – we’ll see.

Tony: Although it would have been sweet to have hit that Browns upset, we’re starting to make some progress. Let’s see if we can’t put the pedal to the metal this week…one way or the other.
Well, the past couple years Tony has blown through his mythical bankroll and gone into pretend hiding at about this time while he fends off guys named Vinny and Guido.
This year it’s Andy’s turn.
A brutal 0-4 week has left him with just $184 from his original $10,000. He did find a mythical fool who was dumb enough to give him a mythical line of credit so he could make it through the season.
Meanwhile, Tony seems to have figured something out. Getting bored with staying close to even every week, he started throwing around big numbers – and it paid off. He had his best week of the season, at least cash wise.
Tony finally had a brutal week. He hit his upset, saving something. But his three spread and total bets went way wrong. It wiped out all but a pinch of his profits for the season. He is still playing from ahead, but only by the cost of a middle-market restaurant without drinks.
Andy didn’t do great, but he held serve. He hasn’t had to take a mythical loan to cover his bets yet.
