This up-and-down, COVID-impacted season is nearing an end. Tony had narrowed the gap considerably, but in week 14 he kicked it all away. Andy lengthened his lead with only three weeks left.

Every time we count him out, he pulls back into the race. Can Tony pull closer again?
In what is the final week of “real” fantasy football, Tony put together a lineup that scored over 20 points over his season average…and still lost. By over 30. Never hurts when you have a Derek Carr/Darren Waller stack on a 13-200-2 day for Waller.

Andy: It was a little harder this week to find the combo I really liked. Not sure I did, truth be told. I don’t have a ton of confidence in this slate.
It just keeps getting uglier and uglier. Andy hasn’t correctly pretended to wager on a game in two weeks. And Tony has to consider it a victory to end up $9 ahead for a week.
Good grief.

Andy: This is embarrassing. Probably best if just shush and pick. (more…)
We have a competitive contest. A 20-11 run the last two weeks has pulled Tony within three correct picks of Andy as we complete the last quarter of the season. Usually, in 2020, a good week for him has been followed by a dud. But he was dominant in week 13, as Andy missed half his own picks.

Oh, the drama. You can cut the tension with a knife.
So of course as soon as Tony starts looking forward to figuring out how to make sure his balance is $0 at the end of the season, he goes out and picks up another win … and a big one at that, with nearly a 100 point gap, thanks to Tyreek Hill … who overcame a combined 4.8 points from Darius Slayton & Michael Pittman.

Another week this week of Sunday only games, I believe–because Fanball knows no one wants to play DFS with ALL of the games on the slate.
Not sure we thought we could hit a new low, but during the elongated Thanksgiving week of football we did. Between the two writers, they were 1-7, with Andy’s bankroll now retaining barely enough to cover mythical bus fare to the hypothetical airport.
Luckily, we’ve built in to this segment the ability to bet using imaginary IOUs, comfortable in knowing that any negatives we can’t cover will only be pursued by the pretend Vitos and Guidos that go around breaking knuckles.
So, with that said, Andy will have to do some deficit spending this week. Here are the standings:

Andy: I’ve had good years betting … well, maybe just one good year. And I’ve had many bad ones. But this has gotten ridiculous.
Yes on offense I agree that controlling the ball via rushing attack is needed but like the Lions found out…
Paul: easier said than done. Daniels is not your typical rookie qb. He already has more no punt/no turnover games…
Key will be for Eagles defense to press Daniels (as rookie QB) into mistakes and perhaps INT-take advantage of his…
Brian Wolf: I love your optimism, but I’m not so sure. Philly is a deeply flawed team, but I’m not…
Good playoff games this weekend, with the Bills getting another chance to beat the Chiefs in postseason. I predict they…
