A .500 week for both Andy and Tony didn’t set the world on fire, but kept the wallets thicker than when the week started.

Here are the standings:

Last week Last week $ Overall Overall $ Total bankroll
Tony 2-2 +$579 14-22 -$3,789 $6,211
Andy 2-2 +$60 16-19-1 +$4,767 $14,767

Here are our week 10 bets:

Andy: Not bad last week, considering the Patriots were off. This week’s New England match-up is a tough one, but I’m sticking with the team that got me here:

$1,000 – New England (-7.5, -110) vs Seattle – Tough game, but Patriots have a week off after the bye and Tom Brady is, well, Tom Brady.

$900 – Denver at New Orleans: Over 49 – The Saints are favored in this game. I think Denver wins. New Orleans is good at home, at least on offense. But let’s remember how bad the defense is… Broncos will score plenty.

$750 – Denver (+3, -110) at New Orleans – The Broncos are simply the better team here. And I get three points? Thank you, I’ll take that.

$300 – Miami (+170 money line) at San Diego – Weird week – there are a couple monster money lines that I don’t want to touch and the rest are about +200 and below. Dolphins have been playing well. It’s the type of game the Chargers often lose. What the hell.

Tony: Cooled off a bit with a 2-2 week, but still on the winning side for payouts, so we’ll keep going with what’s been getting me here—picking games that I don’t think should be picked…

$800 – Cleveland (+8, -107) vs. Baltimore – We’ll get one out of the way tonight. I’ve picked Baltimore, I’ve chosen them as my Survivor pick—so why go against them here? Simply put, I’ve not seen anything from Baltimore that says they will blow out anyone, even an 0-9 team.  Last two times a team has been in a Prime Time game with zero wins and at least eight losses, they’ve gotten of the schneid—tonight might be the night for Cleveland.

$950 – New York Jets (-2, -110) vs. Los Angeles – The Jets have been terrible, but the Rams haven’t exactly been amazing—their biggest talker at this point still hovers between their 1st overall pick not playing, and Jeff Fisher being…Jeff Fisher. Add in a 10am Pacific kickoff, and it could be a long day for the Rams.

$1,000 – Minnesota at Washington: Under 42.5 (-110) – The Vikings offense looked better last week, but still only put up 16 points. The defense is good enough to slow Washington down to a crawl as well. Screams 17-14 finish.

$750 – Tennessee Titans (+120 money line) vs. Green Bay – I probably normally wouldn’t take the money line here, with such a low payout, but the only games with payouts over +200 are the Browns/Ravens (+300), Seahawks/Patriots (+275) and 49ers/Cardinals (+600), none of which intrigue me at all. Add in a Titans team that’s been playing well for the most part, and a Packers team that has been so good that many of their fans want to fire the head coach and start the Brett Hundley era at QB, and it could be a fun one to watch.
