Our picks seemed to be going better through the early games on Sunday. Then the afternoon kickoffs hit and … everything went to hell again.
Losses by Seattle, Oakland, Jacksonville, Green Bay and Chicago took solid numbers and turned them into near .500 level performances by the ZB pickers again this week.
John Vomhof Jr. is the only one who seems to have any clue what’s going to happen. He paced the picks for the second week in a row, with 10 correct.

Whew. We were about a minute from all five of us losing our survivor picks in week one. That would have been embarrassing.
As it turns out, playing it safe was the way to go. Three pickers took Seattle. Three pickers survived. One took Los Angeles and one took Arizona. They start the consolation round. Looks like the respective pickers’ strategies aren’t changing much in week two:
Contributing writer John Vomhof led the pack by picking 11 games correctly in week one. Nobody else got more than nine. Fantasy Editor Maggio missed 10.
All in all, it was a rough start to the season for our pickers. Better things to come?
