Truth is he’s been pretty pathetic all season long. His picks have been mediocre. His bets have been abysmal. He’d be pretty close to being an embarrassment to his family … if not for still having at least a sliver of hope at winning three fantasy leagues.
Not that anyone cares about that. So … here are the standings:
Week 14
Tony 9-7
Season total
Tony 120-84
And for the moment you’ve all been waiting for … Andy’s picking first again this week. May the force be with him and his godawful picks. (more…)
I wouldn’t say he saved his season – he’s still got just one-fifth of his bankroll remaining – but Andy’s 3-1 week 13 gave him at least some breathing room.
Tony only hit two of his bets, but it provided his already beefy bank account with even more cushion. Can these two gambling clowns keep it up in week 14? It’s a tough week – we’ll see.

Tony: Although it would have been sweet to have hit that Browns upset, we’re starting to make some progress. Let’s see if we can’t put the pedal to the metal this week…one way or the other.
Well, the past couple years Tony has blown through his mythical bankroll and gone into pretend hiding at about this time while he fends off guys named Vinny and Guido.
This year it’s Andy’s turn.
A brutal 0-4 week has left him with just $184 from his original $10,000. He did find a mythical fool who was dumb enough to give him a mythical line of credit so he could make it through the season.
Meanwhile, Tony seems to have figured something out. Getting bored with staying close to even every week, he started throwing around big numbers – and it paid off. He had his best week of the season, at least cash wise.
Tony did, as well, so the result was the season’s first tie.
That means Tony keeps his commanding lead for the season. Here are the standings:
Week 12
Tie 8-8
Season total
Tony 102-70
With the tie, we flipped a virtual coin, and Tony ended up getting the right to choose–he decided to pick 2nd and 3rd.
Between divisional rivalries, games featuring new QBs and some actual contests with playoff implications, this is kind of a brutal week of games to pick.
But we persevered and got it done. Here we go with another week.
Tony finally had a brutal week. He hit his upset, saving something. But his three spread and total bets went way wrong. It wiped out all but a pinch of his profits for the season. He is still playing from ahead, but only by the cost of a middle-market restaurant without drinks.
Andy didn’t do great, but he held serve. He hasn’t had to take a mythical loan to cover his bets yet.
Like you said Justin, it will be collusion with deals for next year. I hope at least seven but we…
Justin I agree with that
Paul we’ll just see what happens you know what they say life is full of surprises
No “shock” for those of us here…the math just doesn’t work. We’ve been discussing. See my prediction above. This is…
LOL.....Shock and Awe
