Tony popped onto the scene in week three, taking both the alternative picks and the straight-up picks and remaining relevant for the season.
As we head to week four, COVID-19 has, inevitably, reared its ugly head for the first time. I don’t suspect it will be the last. These picks were made before the NFL announced the Pittsburgh/Tennessee contest would be rescheduled.

Andy 25-22-1
And here are the alternative picks for this alternative week…
Two weeks in and Tony has proven why he shut down his DFS account a couple years ago after a big win — he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. He made it closer in Week 2, scoring 10 more points than week 1, but couldn’t quite catch up in the end thanks to disappointing performances from the bottom half of his lineup.
Hopefully he can right the ship before he has to reload his Fanball account.

Tony: This week … I sadly steal a page from Andy’s playbook, as I’ve been smoked the first two weeks—I basically punt on TE & DST (although both picks have decent matchups), and load up on some starts up top. (more…)
Two weeks in and Tony’s barely dipped into his wallet. He’s plugging along like he’s playing the nickel slots. Andy should heed that advice the way things are going. He’s on pace to be out of cash by week six. Here are the standings:
Bragging rights are probably more important than the $2 each week that change hands in the Zoneblitz.com DFS Contest. Andy left week one comfortably ahead.
A lineup stacked with some of the week’s hottest performers, from Davante Adams (44.6) to Russell Wilson (33.78) and Dalvin Cook (21.8) to DJ Metcalf (19.5), he received production from almost every player.

These things have a way of evening up over time. Can Tony strike back in week two and gain a measure of revenge?
Tony: Well, my strategy didn’t work in the first week—so I’m mixing it up in week 2, spreading things out a bit more, although still taking a couple cheap options to bring in a couple big names at the top. (more…)
We’re always fascinated here at ZB HQ about what exactly it is Vegas knows that we don’t. Andy had a crappy weekend of gambling that was reminiscent of every year these writers have done this segment except for 2019. Tony had an okay run, but he was one point away from a solid profit when his “under 53” bet on the Chiefs/Texans game went over at 54.
Anyway, neither player picked many games right, but as oft is the case, Tony proved once again that it doesn’t matter as long as you get the right games right. He came out with a $100 profit after nailing the Jags’ upset against Indy.

Yes on offense I agree that controlling the ball via rushing attack is needed but like the Lions found out…
Paul: easier said than done. Daniels is not your typical rookie qb. He already has more no punt/no turnover games…
Key will be for Eagles defense to press Daniels (as rookie QB) into mistakes and perhaps INT-take advantage of his…
Brian Wolf: I love your optimism, but I’m not so sure. Philly is a deeply flawed team, but I’m not…
